Accuracy Statement

We believe in absolute transparency regarding the calculations that drive the Sun Moon Calendar.

Astronomical Precision

The mathematical algorithms we utilize are generally accurate to within one minute of the actual time of the solar event. Our calculations rely on the robust SunCalc engine, which calculates the sun position based on your specific latitude and longitude coordinates rather than relying on abstract timezone approximations.

Elevation Constraints

All calculations on this platform assume an elevation of zero (sea level). If you reside at a significantly higher altitude, the actual times of sunrise and sunset may differ slightly by a few minutes due to atmospheric refraction and physical elevation.

Geographical Limits

The accuracy of astronomical timings degrades slightly as your coordinates approach the extreme north or south poles (locations further than 60 degrees north or south). For the vast majority of the global population, the generated times will be highly reliable.

Recreational and Spiritual Use

The data presented on this site is intended for spiritual practice scheduling and recreational use only. Please do not use our exact latitude and longitude values or solar timings for critical navigational purposes or automated navigation systems.
