Brahma Muhurta

Occurring exactly 96 minutes (or two muhurtas) before sunrise, this quiet pre dawn window is universally acknowledged as the most potent time for spiritual practices like dhyana (meditation) and pranayama.

Sandhya Timings

In yogic sciences, transition periods of the day are known as Sandhyas. These times exhibit unique energetic transitions.

  • Morning Sandhya (Pratah Sandhya): A 40 minute window centered precisely on the calculated sunrise time (starting 20 minutes before sunrise and ending 20 minutes after).
  • Evening Sandhya (Sayam Sandhya): A 40 minute window centered precisely on the calculated sunset time (starting 20 minutes before sunset and ending 20 minutes after).

Solar Noon

Solar noon is the exact moment when the sun reaches its highest elevation in the sky (crossing the local meridian) for your specific location. We provide a 10 minute peak window around this event, which is ideal for maximum vitality and digestion.

Twilight Periods

Twilight refers to the illumination of the Earth's lower atmosphere when the sun itself is not directly visible because it is below the horizon.

  • Civil Twilight: The period when the sun is between zero and six degrees below the horizon. The sky is still quite bright.
  • Nautical Twilight: The period when the sun is between six and twelve degrees below the horizon. The horizon becomes indistinct.
  • Astronomical Twilight: The period when the sun is between twelve and eighteen degrees below the horizon. Sky illumination is incredibly faint.
