Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions regarding our calculations, calendar synchronization, and data privacy.
Why are the Sandhya windows exactly 40 minutes?
In Vedic traditions, the Sandhya represents the junction between day and night. We utilize a precise 40 minute window centered perfectly on the exact moment of sunrise and sunset (starting 20 minutes prior and ending 20 minutes after) to denote the most energetically potent transition period.
Do I need to adjust the times for Daylight Saving Time?
No. Our application calculates all events based on your exact geographical coordinates and automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time rules applicable to your timezone.
Is my location data saved or tracked?
Absolutely not. We prioritize your privacy. All geocoding and coordinate processing remains strictly stateless. The coordinates are processed locally in your browser when viewing the visual calendar, and processed temporarily at the edge when generating an ICS file. We do not store, log, or transmit any location data to third party analytics services.
Why might the times slightly differ from other weather apps?
Our timings might differ by a minute from generic weather applications because we calculate timings based on your exact latitude and longitude down to a pinpointed accuracy. Many generic apps provide times for a generalized city center.
How can I get the calendar on my phone?
You can use the "Subscribe to Calendar" feature on the main page. This will generate a Webcal link that seamlessly integrates into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook, fetching daily solar updates automatically without you needing to do anything manually!
